Mitchell Littman is a founding partner of Littman Krooks LLP and heads the firm’s corporate and securities department.  His practice includes public and private offerings, broker-dealer and investment banking matters, venture and private equity capital investments, mergers and acquisitions and hospitality, marketing and sports companies.  Mitchell Littman’s clients consist of public and private companies, institutions, investment banking firms and individual entrepreneurs.  In his 28 year career, Mitchell Littman has represented issuers, underwriters and placement agents in hundreds of private and public securities offerings, including reverse mergers, PIPEs, IPOs, SPACs and special purpose entities created to buy private securities in the secondary market.  Under his leadership, the firm’s corporate and securities department was ranked in the top ten of 2010 U.S. PIPE Market Placement Agent Counsel by both The Pipes Report (9th place) and by PlacementTracker (8th place).

A frequent speaker at conferences and industry events, as well as a sought after commentator across the spectrum of the securities marketplace, Mr. Littman has authored several articles on matters dealing with corporate law and specialty financial products, which have appeared in publications across the United States.

Mitchell Littman graduated, cum laude, with distinction, from the University of Rochester in 1980 and received his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1983, where he served as Comments Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. He is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association Committees on Corporations and Securities and Exchange Commission, and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Recognizing the need for commitment and responsibility to the community at large, Mitchell Littman has provided pro bono services to Sunflower Children, a humanitarian aid organization providing survival and development care for impoverished children, and to Camp Sussex, a charity devoted to providing the opportunity for children of limited financial means to experience a traditional summer camp environment. Previously, Mr. Littman served as pro bono general counsel to Baby Buggy Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting and redistributing infant gear and clothing to families in need in the five boroughs of New York City from 2002 to 2006; and as pro bono general counsel for the New York Academy of Art, a graduate school offering advanced degrees, from 1991 to 1994.
