Lauren Mechaly Joins Firm
Lauren I. Mechaly has joined Littman Krooks as an associate attorney, focusing on elder law, special education advocacy, and special needs planning. She received a J.D. from Albany Law School, is a member of both the New York and New Jersey Bars, and belongs to the New York State Bar Association.
While studying for her law degree, Lauren interned at Albany’s Civil Rights and Disabilities Law Clinic, through which she represented clients with disabilities in administrative hearings; advocated for appropriate educational services for youths with autism; and worked with a coalition of special education attorneys addressing due process violations at the Office of State Review.
Lauren earned a B.A. from Boston University and has taken graduate courses in social work at Fordham University.
