By Marion M. Walsh, Esq., Littman Krooks LLP

The Office of People with Developmental Disabilities  (OPWDD) as of March 17, 2020, has issued a Memorandum  directing  the temporary suspension of services at all Day Habilitation, Day Treatment, and Prevocational Services across New York State. OPWDD has asked providers of day program services to provide alternative programming for families who will be negatively affected by the suspension of services.

Additional Guidance  is available on the OPWDD website and you may also contact your regional office.

We will be monitoring this and keep you apprised of details.  At Littman Krooks, we recognize that this suspension creates tremendous hardships for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.  Please contact us with any questions.
