Kevin serves as Of Counsel with Littman Krooks LLP, as part of the firm’s special education practice. He represents families with students in need of improved special education services or an appropriate placement, and he has advocated for them at school district meetings and in due process hearings. He also advises families on, and collaborates with them toward, securing independent educational evaluations and proper 504 plans.

Kevin’s knowledge of language-based learning disabilities and other diagnoses addressed by special education derives from a total of fifteen years as an educator and school administrator at the LD programs Kildonan, Churchill School (NYC), Durango Mountain Camp, and Shoshone Summer Camp (Breteche Creek Foundation). In his work as an educator in the field of Dyslexia he received training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, and his son’s Autism diagnosis led to parent training in continuity for ABA therapy.

He has presented on Dyslexia education and advocacy at conferences of the Association of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners & Educators, the New York State Association of Independent Schools, Everyone Reading (New York), the Int’l Educational Consultants Assoc., and through the Dyslexia Advocacy Action Group.
