Description: Marion Walsh to present. Learn about “The Legal Rights of Students with Disabilities in the Post-secondary Environment: Find the Supports to Foster Success.” Understanding the dichotomy between accommodations and supplementary services offered on college campuses for students with learning differences is essential. Institutions offer different levels of services, and finding the right level of support is integral to identifying an environment that fosters success. Understanding and comparing levels of services offered to students is the first step towards laying a solid foundation of support. This presentation will review a matrix outlining the varied levels of services available to students. The levels of services will be looked at through the lens of the skills essential to succeed in college, such as academics, executive function, and more. To register for this event, click here.
