For the moderately wealthy, the credit shelter trust may have been rendered obsolete by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, but new problems are arising for wealth preservation because the US has no health insurance for longterm care. Seventy percent of Americans age 65 and over will need some form of long-term care during their lifetime, regardless of their net worth. This presentation addresses the myriad of options available to people in need of long-term care, including how to finance such care, other issues that should be addressed during the process, and how to minimize the risk of elder abuse by Vera, Chuck and Dave.
